SIA Aibi was founded on May 2, 1997. This is a full-cycle meat processing plant providing the whole process, from obtaining meat to the manufacture and delivery of ready products.
In 1997, immediately after the company was established, a real estate was acquired in Ineši, Vecpiebalga district, where one of Latvia’s largest and most up-to-date slaughterhouses is located. Initially, the company established a small slaughterhouse, started to buy livestock, provide slaughter services and meat trade.
In 2004, when Latvia joined the European Union, SIA Aibi made another step on the development road by implementing a slaughterhouse reconstruction project in conformity with EU requirements and establishing high-capacity slaughterhouse with a meat cutting line. Since the company’s foundation and to date, it has made permanent investments in modernization.

In 2017, marking its 20th Anniversary, the company launched a new meat processing plant in Ērgļi, thus ensuring a full production cycle, and guaranteeing permanently high quality of meat and meat products. As a result, the company has entered retail business, offering high quality meat production with Aibi brand.
The company’s strongest side is fresh meat obtained from animals delivered by our reliable business partners – cattle breeders.
The slaughterhouse, meat cutting and meat processing of SIA Aibi has received ISO FSSC 22000 certificate. The company is a member of the Latvian Chamber of Trade and Industry.
